Freedom.

Freedom means you are free to disagree.

I seem to recall a rag-tag group who were supported more than 200 years ago by others.

Freedom.

Choose your own destiny.

Freedom.

The senseless death of innocent life is never something one wishes for, but we all want

Freedom.

I read a disheartening article saying that the Bushie Administration was "justified" in creating propaganda to start a was (on MSNBC, nonetheless) ... their logic was that ALL wars gather support through propaganda. It's complete idiotic to use this logic ... Bush snorted coke - should I? Clinton was an adulter - should I be? No, of course not ... it's so sickening to me that American Politicians are NOT held accountable for their crimes. Bush and his cronies flat out forged documents & lied to the American Public to "justify" the war - this should be considered what it is - FRAUD & MURDER ... I would love to see all of these war *****r Nazi's tried & convicted for their war crimes.

It's time we HOLD our "elected" officials accountable for their actions.

I'm glad you asked, General. I know it's a suprise, but I have been known to dabble a bit in political debates regarding foreign policy a bit in my day.

That's why I'm pleased to present, in conjunction with RR Productions, All War All the Time: The Phaedrus Iraq War Boxed Set. Call now!

Thomas Paine on Government and War

Some memorable quotes from a great American patriot, regarding global imperium. My very first post in the Politics Forum!

Robert Fisk: Americans, Iraqis Both Full of Sh*t RE Baghdad Airport

A man on the ground denies the spin by both sides of the conflict, during the allegedly heated fight for Baghdad International Airport.

Support the War, Betray the Troops.

An editorial on the asinine principal that one can support troops, but not the war. My first serving of the sweet, sweet taste of getting flamed by retards for expressing a view.

A Non-Anti-American, Non-Left, Non-Pacifist Reason to be Opposed to Regime-Changing Wars

My first attempt at explaining why I think that military action in Iraq, Afghanistan, Liberia, etc. in the name of "liberation" is such a pointless idea.

US General John Kelly: "We Shoot Them Down Like the Morons They Are."

Who gave this fuknuts the microphone?

Anarcho-Tyranny in Baghdad

An essay by the inestimable Lew Rockwell.

Saddam is a Disco Stud

Detailing the discovery of the madman's lovenest. Priceless.

Freedom Begins at Home

George F. Smith on keeping our noses where they belong.

Liberated Iraqis Very Happy US is There, All of Them. Anyone Who Says Otherwise is Lying, or Leftist, or a Commie, or a Lying Leftist Commie. Any Unhappy Iraqi has Simply Not Yet Been Sufficiently Liberated. We'll Get to Them, We Promise.

The post that launched a thousand flames. Who knew you could make a 'Subject' line so frickin long?

Independent: "So Where Are They, Mr. Blair?"

One of Britain's first major public inquiries into the matter of the elusive WMD. (bear in mind, that was now three months ago and still not the first shread of evidence has been found ...)

Freedom Baby, YEAH!

Iraqis buying up AK-47's in black market transactions that take place in broad daylight. (NOTE: eleven weeks later, some people are suprised that the occupied Iraqi population with AK-47's is using them [duh.])

Putin Gives Blair a Friendly Kick in the Nuts at Press Conference

Vladimir Putin can't help but tease Tony the Poodle about those pesky WMD's. In public.

A Plan for Iraq: Leave!

Another excellent piece by Lew Rockwell.

Jessica Lynch Story: Military Propoganda?

The first misgivings about POW Jessica Lynch's alleged "ordeal" are aired.

In Reversal, Plan for Iraq Self-Rule Has Been Put Off

Just a couple of weeks off the bus, Paul Bremer introduces Iraqis to a new concept of "democracy" with which they were not previously familiar.

OPEC Won't Recognise US as Iraqi Representative

OPEC's big "Fvck You" to W. and Co.

Bush and Blair Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

As I said in the post, pardon me while I vomit.

Does Iraq Show That We Need a State?

Hans-Herman Hoppe's excellent analysis of the situation in Iraq as an argument for minarchy.

Boys Will Be Boys and Other Iraqi Foibles

Abuse of POWs for fun and sport, Blair does some more WMD squirming, and Bremer decides that his previous postponement of democracy was pretty fun, so he does it again.

Wolfowitz' Amazingly Big Mouth and Other Iraqi Foibles

The slip of the tongue that got the Bush administration suddenly talking about a lot of other really good reasons to be in Iraq, aside from WMD's, and how a good American is one who udnerstands that sometimes mommies and daddies and presidents have to be less than truthful in order to spare our feelings.

Maybe Troops Would Notice if They Looted an Oil Well
A noteworthy thread if for no other reason that I actually admitted to being led on by the media.

A True Conservative Speaks Out Against Nation-Building

Why the alleged "conservatives" at the Rx need to invest in a dictionary and realise that they are actually "Fascists."

An Excellent Historical Primer for People Who Want to Change Arab Countries

From the Gulf News, one of my favourite sources for news and editorials rgarding the Middle East. Also, excellent commentary by sphincter.

Dean: WMD Could Become Bush's Watergate

Convicted Watergate co-conspirator on the WMD flap's implications for President Bush.

Somebody Just Go Ahead and Shoot Me. It Turns Out that outandup, KMAN, and Jointpleasure Rank Among the American Intellectual Elite

Americans can really be fvcking retarded sometimes. It really bothers me. It also bothers the Rx'ers when I point it out. Some hilarious comments in this thread.

Iraqi Resistance, not U.S., the Real 'Desert Scorpion'

Another excellent piece from the Gulf News. Learn about scorpions. Also, in light of the way the last month has gone for Operation Desert Scorpion, this article might be considered more than a little prescient.

Senators Say Troops Could be in Iraq for Five Years; White House Says "Don't be so Optimistic."

The Congressional fact-finding mission to Iraq drops a bomb on the American public. We all switch over to Elimidate. My God, look at that skank!

More Elections Canceled in the Great Democracy of New Iraq

Democracy in Iraq goes on permanent back-burner as the US tries its hand at military dictatorship (perhaps in preparation...?)

Oops! America has to Arrest One of It's Own Appointed Iraqi Rulers for Corruption and Kidnapping

I'm reminded of the whole Ruby-Oswald thing: I mean, who were they turning away that day? "Sarge, there's a guy here, runs a local titty bar, packing a .38 ... should I let him through?"

NEO-CONNED: Congressman Ron Paul Addresses the House of Representatives

Congressman Paul rips the Neo-Cons a new asshole, no lube. I love this guy.

A Shaky, but Important, First Step: The Iraqi Governing Council Convenes

Even Phaedrus will acknowledge when there's some good news.

President Bush Signs XO to Protect Our 51st State, Iraq

President Doo-Dah signs an order negating more than $ 120 billion in Iraqi oil-backed debt, then turns around and announces plans to incur $ 30 billion (which is Republicanian for "God only knows how much this shit is going to cost") in debt secured by Iraqi oil. There goes our relationship with Russia for the next few years, who can barely pay her own bills and lost billions because of Bush's decision.

Blair Seeks God-Like, or at the Very Least Bush-Like, Powers

Tony the Poodle loses his shit entirely. Features what may be the funniest picture of Blair ever published.

Bush: CIA Lies, Exaggerations, Ommissions and Plagiarism Make for "Darn Good Intelligence"

Somebody really needs to sit W. down and explain things to him, like not praising a guy who just sacrificed himself by lying to cover your ass .. not in public, George; just have Daddy buy him a jet and a place in the Caymans.

Once You've Had Iraqi, You'll Never Go Backy

I'd just like to say I thought this was a really clever 'Subject' line.

Tenet Rolls Over Like a Dog: Now Claims White House "Insisted" on Using African Uranium Claim

The neocons really should switch back to the good crack ... they can't seem to keep their stories straight for shit lately ... maybe this is some sort of attempt to *Shock and Awe* us with contradiction. What's next? The Infantry of Irony?

Well, that's about it -- like I said, I don't really follow politics.

I hope you'll consider purchasing your copy of All War All the Time: The Phaedrus Iraq War Boxed Set. If nothing else, do it for the way cool cover art:

99.99% of the US soldiers are alive and well. Does anyone remember what happened to the USSR when they went into Afghanistan and they are neighbors? Put what's going on in Iraq in proper perspective. So far this has been a huge success.

The whole this is another Vietnam is a media created LIE, don't fall for it. More soldiers died by accident last year in the US military than have died in Iraq. There's a serious problem when some are so-called more concerned with the death of soldiers fighting a war then the murder of 3000+ US civilians. I was in the military and my heart goes out to the soldiers lost, however, we know as soldiers during war soldiers die. On the other hand civilains do not expect to be slaughtered at work. For the ones that will argue Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11, maybe they did maybe they didn't. Iraq was the head of the snake and had to be dealt with now before they acquired NUKES. Please don't say that Saddam wasn't trying to get NUKES, because that's BS. Israel bombed his NUKE plant in the 80's and we bombed it in 91. Saddam would have bought one if he couldn't build it.

I believe we had to go to war to cut the head of the snake. Iraq was the strongest military in the region. This put Saudia Arabia, Iran and Syria on notice as to how easy it would be to knock them out of power.

If we left Iraq now the whiny liberals would cry and say we left Iraq a mess and blah, blah blah. So we have to do the best we can with a difficult situation.

DO NOT GO WEAK KNEED ON US NOW IT WILL ONLY HURT OUR TROOPS.

Well stated outandup!

The libs will find fault with anything this administration does. They know it, we know it. So we just have to go along and do what needs to be done and let the libs dig their grave. Its more about trying to play gotcha with this president to them while all along playing the political games they play focusing mainly on racism, the separation of church and state, abortion, and class warfare. With class warfare being the subject the like to focus on the most to split this country apart.

Gotta get to work now - joints to pleasure.

When I was in SK years ago, I got the genuine impression that the US was appreciated by many Koreans.

Many arabs used to have no particular problems with the west.

Iraq is a situation where everyone seems to be a loser.

My opinion is, rebuild the infrastructure and get the heck out of there.
The place looks like it will end up like lebanon.
